30 Years of MultiBel – a milestone we are proud of.
Today, September 28, 2025, is a special day: MultiBel celebrates its 30th anniversary!
For three decades, we have stood for reliable alarm and communication systems. What began 30 years ago as a clear vision has today become a strong presence in the field of professional alarm and communication solutions. Thanks to the trust of our customers, the dedication of our team, and our tireless pursuit of innovation, we have grown into one of the leading providers in our industry – and we are proud of that.
How it all began
MultiBel started as an alerting solution for Dutch hospitals. In the event of major incidents, MultiBel made it possible to quickly and efficiently alert large groups of people by telephone.
Ten years ago, Wouter Hermsen and Maurits Knopjes took over MultiBel. They transformed the solution into a modern SaaS application. In addition, they expanded our services to other sectors: industry, nursing homes, healthcare institutions, safety regions, municipalities, schools, and many other organizations.
In recent years, we have also added two new pillars: Lone Worker Protection and Critical Event Management. This has resulted in a safety platform that is now active internationally.
