Jobcenter Landkreis Kassel

The Jobcenter is a joint institution established under Social Code II (SGB II) by the Employment Agency Kassel and the District of Kassel. Its responsibilities include the implementation of basic income support for jobseekers, particularly ensuring livelihood security and integration into employment. The Jobcenter District of Kassel is responsible for securing the livelihood of around 14,000 recipients through the provision of citizen’s allowance (Bürgergeld) and supports over 60% of unemployed persons in the district. Thus, the Jobcenter plays an important social and labor market role within the Kassel district.

MultiBel at Jobcenter Landkreis Kassel

To ensure rapid alerting of evacuation teams and first aid responders in medical emergencies or fire incidents, the Jobcenter District of Kassel uses the flexible alerting system MultiBel Professional.

By dialing specific phone numbers, alerts are triggered, and targeted information about the reason and location of the emergency is distributed. Employees can immediately enter direct communication via telephone conferences, enabling fast and effective coordination.

In addition, alerting the crisis management team plays an important role in limiting potential damage during critical events.
MultiBel is used across three Jobcenter sites in the Kassel district, enabling both local and cross-location alerting.

Simplified Alert Triggering via QR Codes

To make triggering an alert even easier, alarms at the Jobcenter can now also be activated by scanning QR codes.

The advantage: any employee present can initiate an alarm quickly and easily, without having to dial a number — saving time and reducing the chance of errors. The trigger location is automatically transmitted to all alarm recipients.

Before MultiBel

Before using MultiBel, the Jobcenter District of Kassel relied on telephone chains or acoustic alarm signals. However, the telephone chains caused significant delays, and acoustic alerts could not convey information about the type or cause of the emergency.

Practical Use

MultiBel has already been used several times over the past two years, especially for medical first responder alerts — always quickly and reliably. The ability to immediately start a telephone conference between the person triggering the alarm and the first responders has proven particularly valuable. Thanks to this direct communication, the right information can be shared instantly and without distortion.
