Coppenrath & Wiese

Since 1975, Conditorei Coppenrath & Wiese has combined traditional confectionery craftsmanship with innovative production methods. Our goal has always been the same: to offer the best possible alternative to home baking. With our range of frozen cakes, pies, rolls, and desserts, we bring sweetness and quality to coffee tables and breakfast spreads across Germany and beyond.

“Where else can you find quality like this?” this motto applies not only to our products. The same commitment to quality runs through every part of our company. It shapes our daily work and begins with the training and development of our employees.

Our philosophy has proven successful. Today, Conditorei Coppenrath & Wiese is the market leader in frozen baked goods. Two out of every three frozen bakery products purchased in Germany come from our state-of-the-art production facilities, where up to 260,000 cream cakes can be produced each day.

Since its founding, the company has experienced continuous growth – even during times of economic uncertainty. Production and administration began in 1975 with 35 employees in a converted dairy in Westerkappeln. Today, around 3,000 dedicated colleagues work at our two sites in Osnabrück and nearby Mettingen. All of our products are made exclusively in Germany, with ongoing investments in new production, storage, and logistics capacities.

Since 2015, Conditorei Coppenrath & Wiese has been part of the food division of the Oetker Group, one of Europe’s most successful family-owned enterprises.

MultiBel at Coppenrath & Wiese

MultiBel is currently used at Coppenrath & Wiese primarily for alerting in the event of technical malfunctions. Thanks to the direct connection with the company’s technical systems, predefined technical staff are notified within seconds whenever a fault occurs. This saves valuable time in situations such as power outages and significantly reduces potential damage. The comprehensive reporting function ensures that a detailed record is always available, showing exactly when an incident occurred and who received the alert.

Because the MultiBel system is modular and flexible, it can be adapted to different types of emergencies. The company is currently evaluating whether the system can also be used in the future to protect lone workers and to manage fire and evacuation alerts.

The goal: to handle almost all potential incidents and emergencies through one single platform and MultiBel makes that possible.

MultiBel does exactly what it’s supposed to.

Before MultiBel – How Were Alerts Handled?

Before implementing the MultiBel system, alerts at Coppenrath & Wiese were handled via telephone and a Bosch paging system.

Implementation and Support

At the start of the setup process, a detailed implementation and project schedule was created — and it was followed through consistently. The follow-up evaluation meetings have also proven very helpful. From a support perspective, no questions were left unanswered.

Ease of Use

Installation and configuration are simple, and the system is intuitive to operate. We only need support for specific advanced functions.

MultiBel is used for the following purposes:
