(May 2026)
Introduction
MultiBel provides a safety- and resilience platform called MultiBel Professional. This service enables rapid alerting of individuals, protection of employees, and safeguarding of business continuity in the event of incidents. MultiBel Professional is used proactively to enhance the resilience and safety of organizations.
MultiBel acts solely as a processor within the meaning of the GDPR in the context of its professional services. The organization that uses the alerting services (the controller) determines the purposes and means of processing. MultiBel processes personal data exclusively on behalf of and in accordance with the data processing agreement with this organization. MultiBel does not use the data for its own purposes such as marketing, product improvement based on personal data, or analytics outside the strict scope of the service.
With this privacy statement, we inform you about how we handle your personal data.
Personal Data Processed
Depending on the functionalities used, MultiBel processes the following personal data (provided only by your organization’s administrator):
- Name
- Telephone Number
- Email address
- Function / function group
- Presence or absence at defined locations
- Emergency call data in case of incidents/emergencies
- For MultiBel Protect (optional): location of the individual before, during, or after an incident
- Voice data for push-to-talk or conference call functionality
MultiBel does not process special categories of personal data (Article 9 GDPR), including in relation to motion detection. No raw movement or sensor data is stored; only a trigger in case of prolonged inactivity (e.g., potential fall).
Purposes and Legal Bases
MultiBel processes personal data solely based on your consent (as granted via the app and operating system) and for the performance of the processing agreement with your organization. Processing is also necessary to protect the vital interests of individuals in emergency situations.
Overview per processing activity:
| Data Processing | Personal Data | Purpose | Legal Basis |
| Configuration of emergency scenarios | Name, phone, email, function | Ensure correct emergency response scenarios | Consent |
| Registration and storage of user actions | Name, phone, email, function, call activation data, chat communication | Reach and instruct qualified employees during incidents | Consent + vital interest |
| Presence registration (WiFi/geofencing) | Presence/absence at location | Accurate alerting based on current presence | Consent |

Presence registration does not function as a tracking system. For wifi and geofencing, only a yes/no signal is requested from the operating system (iOS/Android) to determine whether the device is within a predefined area. No location data outside this area is recorded or stored, even if iOS or Android gives a notification that MultiBel has used your location.
When using push-to-talk or conference call functionality, voice data is processed to enable real-time communication. This audio is not stored.
App Permissions
For proper functioning, the app requires the following permissions (in line with iOS and Android policies):
- Location access (for presence registration and/or MultiBel Protect
- Wifi access
- Bluetooth access
- Motion/activity recognition
- Push notifications
- Microphone access (for audio)
- Internet access (mobile data/wifi)

You can withdraw consent at any time via your device settings or within the MultiBel app. Your organization may (partially) restrict this via Mobile Device Management.
Consequence: the system may not function fully, potentially affecting presence registration, alerting, or motion detection.

Security
MultiBel has implemented appropriate technical and organizational measures, documented in its ISO 27001-certified Information Security Management System. Data is transmitted via secure connections, access is restricted, and employees are bound by confidentiality.

As MultiBel acts as a processor, requests regarding your rights (access, rectification, deletion, objection, etc.) should be directed to your employer/organization.
